Well, Kash, I’m open to anyone wanting to battle, but here’s the thing…
The only battle that’s meant to be won for the good guys in the War of Darkness is the final one over Arcanix. After Arcanix, then there can be battles mopping up cult remnants. The reason for this is that I want it to seem like the galaxy only narrowly managed to avoid the completion of Sivter’s grand design.
Furthermore, the Cult of Shadow has no real space force to speak of. With a few exceptions, they’re mostly just personal ships belonging to cult members (as seen during the Battle of Onderon). Sivter isn’t empire building, he’s only interested in tearing apart what stands before him. The Cult of Shadow is a force for anarchy, not order.
So, during these larger battles, it’s going to be the Charon and their warships that will handle all of the large-scale fighting, and, as I already established, the Charon’s numbers are going to seem to be effectively limitless; Sivter has all of otherspace to call upon. Sheer numbers alone, if nothing else, will guarantee cult victories. It’s why Sivter went through so much trouble breaching dimensions and obtaining the Charon’s loyalty.
This is also why the main action in the WoD will be over in as little as 2 to 4 IC-weeks. If I had it go on much longer than that, with a basically unbeatable force, the galaxy would never recover and Sivter losing would become unfeasible in story-terms. It’s essentially an “if we don’t beat them now, it’s the end of everything” scenario.
To sum it up, the Brotherhood is free to engage the Charon, just don’t expect it to go too well for them.
