fantasy, dragonheart, movies, oh my!

Star Wars is a cookie cutter story and it is the mold all sci-fantasy cookie cutter stories are cut with. Re: Joseph Conrad and the mythological archtype. 'Nuff said. I haven't read Eragon and I probably never will. I don't read a lot of fantasy for its amazing lack of originality and quality. I dis...

I thought you had a great broadcasting voice and a damn fine rapport with the callers.

However, I don't know the third thing about sports so I can't tell you what I thought content-wise.

Random thoughts

Where are Padme Amidala's parents? She was only 14 when she took the throne, not even thirty when she died. Why haven't Luke and Leia tried to contact them? Or any of her extended family really. Leia may not want to be associated with Vader in any way, but Luke was very eager to know more about his ...

Thou know what I mean?

Ahh the second person plural, the most disregarded of them all. Of course with conjugation in english you can hardly notice. It's not nearly as big of a loss as the second person familiar, which you only here in shakespeare and church nowadays.

Ithael. You have more options my friend. "ae" can also be pronounced as a long 'A' like in Aether. Also it could be pronounced like Israel, which would be either A - el, I - el, or E - el. Also you could pronounce "ith" with a long or short 'I.' On a related note I always thought the band Ghoti Hook...

This is a filler post as I finish planning the dinner

“What’s going on here, who are you people?” The head chef’s outweighing his good sense as two imperial stormtroopers entered the civilian kitchen, blaster carbines at the ready. They scanned the room, ignoring the chef and then stood at either side of the entrance door. Men dressed in formal imperia...

Being a huge Monty Python fan, and a huge Mel Brooks fan I'd have to say:

A man with three buttocks.

Or

It's good to be the King.

Here's a bit more info before you make a decision. I'd also like to know what you had in mind. we can go back and forth and get some dialogue going. It's like a writing session or something. The Death Star was blown up within the last year, Grand Moff Tarkin is freshly dead and with him goes Moff Bo...

Now

“WHAT!!” the word exploded out of his gaping jaw, sending his volumous jowls flopping against his face. His beady little eyes were squinted in anger, making them almost invisible behind the fat folds of his forehead. His nostrils flared, making his pig-like face resemble a gamorean in all but color ...

fools in the hands of an angry Ewok

Still eying the human, Twee smelled the three aliens walk in, a wookie, a rodian and a devorian. Twee had heard a joke like that but human style humor still eluded him. As far as Twee was concerned this didn't concern him, until he heard the unmistakable sound of blasters clearing leather. Little di...

Can and will prove more interesting! Actually I'm interested in hearing your original idea Topgun. I'm still woefully unfamiliar with MBT. I haven't really come up with more ideas beyond stealing seeds and seedlings so a seperate bacta plantation could be started, maybe sell them off on the holonet ...

Appreciated. I rather figured from the thread count I wasn't getting a great deal of attention. Let's see, Kaldone checked it a few times, and I figured Corsos took a gander. If Ket saw my name I know he swung by, I gave him his first job after his stint in the arena, and there's gotta be a few othe...

In doing research on the interdictor cruiser I couldn't stop myself and read up on the EU. I know I hate the EU, but I finally got that old feeling of nausea back in in the pit of my stomach having read up on the Correllian Rebellion. It's like some of the authors were god-moding and there was no on...

Roughly 15 years ago

“Come now Alfize, you’re the best debater in the Sern Sector!” The man speaking was one of the tallest men in the rather exclusive restaurant, if not on the planet. His visage was skinny and often stern, unrelenting. High eyebrows and cheekbones, he was almost frightening when he looked at someone c...

Updates

Let's see. Some self notes. I'm working on a post for Moff Boise the Corpulent. Should have it up by the morning at the latest. Gotta get some more research done on the Ghorman massacre first. I've been doing more research on the Interdictor cruiser because there's so many different weapon configura...

Twee, Ewok Warrior

“Eeka chu” the barkeep looked around, and didn’t see anyone, so he kept cleaning a glass. “Eeka chu!” the barkeep looked around again and still didn’t see anyone. And cleaning the glass gave him something to focus on while the human beat the crap out of the dug. “EEKA CHU!!!” The barkeep looked down...

Samward D’Skiftallya stood in full court dress, layers of fine, embroidered clothes manufactured in the textile mills of Kuteri, one of the largest cities on the planet, and the capital of Samward’s vassaldom to his leigelord and father. The threads were metals, mostly gold and platinum, interwoven ...

D'Skiftallya Sisters

“…Ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one hundred!” The girl put down her comb and let her long brown hair fall to the back of her neck. She smiled at herself in the mirror and bubbled slightly, giggling to herself. She picked up some lipstick and started puckering toward the mirror wanting to get her lips j...

Well, if it's board continuity then we can use this thread to intro new characters and re-intro old ones. From this thread we can branch out into the galaxy at large. Maybe run a few smuggling runs or a ship theft or something to roleplay our characters and build them up or break them down.

Hmmmmm

Last post on this was 10-25, I say we start our own. I've got my Alderaanian still and he's not doing anything. Maybe team him up with Beasley? Maybe go one further and try and steal the plants necessary to make bacta?

Let me know what you think.

Master Chief Trahan

He stood at attention, his uniform simple, crisp and perfect, the rank bars on his chest marking him as a master chief in the Imperial Navy in the dark blues that signified formal wear. He was an older gentleman, the first of his hairs starting to grey, and a patch on his uniform marked that he had ...

Skiftallya Sector: Captain Darius Crassus

The perfect triangular wedge was marred by four large globes situated in its center. A control tower sat at the back of the wedge as well as three large engines. To anyone familiar with the latest Imperial designs this was obviously one of the brand new, incredibly exclusive, Interdictor cruisers. T...

OOC: The Skiftallya Sector

The course of galactic history has always been shaped by a few key players. Men and women of great courage who stand out as iconoclasts and legends. None of them will be appearing in these tales. These are the stories of the men and women who will shape the destiny of the Skiftallya sector, a groupi...
