Good luck with that, guys. Between Avath's tail and lack of technical training on the finer points of turret use (apart from the fact that there are plenty of other people to be manning a maximum of two turrets), he'll probably end up sitting around in the "lounge".

I'm just gonna call it that from now on. With the quotation marks.

What kind of ship is this, again? I mean, I know it's custom, but is it just the one from the "last thread", meaning we should go there to look up its various details?

EDIT: A sound byte to express my sentiments more clearly.

Yeah, I figured we could keep it simple and just go with the same basic ship design as the last one.

Ah, but you're forgetting something, topgun, Caitlyn served as an officer in the Imperial navy aboard a Star Destroyer. While she does have some flying experience she's definitely not a fighter pilot, so evasive manuevers and combat tactics are just a wee bit out of her league. ;) With that in mind, I hope you guys have really good aim, 'cause you're gonna need it. Good luck! :P

So... Derak is going to like sit in the lounge and drink a Coke now since his marine training means a ton in this situation. :P

Great so now I get to man all the turrets at once? Thanks guys but really I don't need all the glory.

One of y'all has to man a friggin' turret. I mean seriously, if Luke Skywalker can fire a turret without having any experience whatsoever, I'm sure Avath or Derak could pick it up real quick.

In all honesty, guys, you're all I've got. If you can't figure out how to operate a turret then we're all screwed. :P

Well, if the person in the turret dies, we lose atmosphere and we all die, so it doesn't matter who's in the turret, we're all at risk of death.

Maybe Derak and Avath can chat about the implications of life outside the Empire, or why DeVries is such a... person as she is, or something. :P

I'm probably pretty sure I don't have a zero-g suit available... Unless you brought your own.

And I still need at least one more person to man the turrets. I'm sure we've got at least two (one on top one on bottom) that we could use to fend of the TIE's. Why don't you all play rock paper scissors or something to see who gets to go fire the darn thing. :P

What, Kerak's got one, right? And Craslem the other, right? What more do we need? Or is Kerak helping you fly?

...

Even if you do need one more, Derak's closer to knowledgeable than Avath. So. :P

Kerak's my co-pilot, he'll be my gunner from the cockpit while Caitlyn is maneuvering the ship.

Ah. So your best bets for accuracy are Derak and Craslem.

Someone will post soon... Hopefully. I'm not requiring people to be fast about their posts, I'm just requiring that they post, period. :P It may take a few days or even a week, but just as long as people are posting I'll be satisified (this means you, Balsa ;)).

Okay, preferably I would like to wait until someone posts about firing the second gun, but if that posts never comes I might as well move the story along. It seems no one is too interested in our first battle, anyway. :P So, Balsa or Arch, if either of you wants to post your character firing the gun feel free to, if not oh well. ;)

I can't help it that our first battle happens to be in space, an evironment altogether unsuited to my poor Selonian, who happens to be, at this moment, headed toward the gun turret anyway, just because he got tired of having staring contests with Derak. Besides, the ship was jolting a bit much to maintain eye contact for all that long anyway.

Pray tell, what is distracting everyone from continuing this thread?! Is there some information that I'm not privy to about why no one's doing anything?!

If you collect the completely random bolds above, it creates a rather ironic pair of sentences.

K, we'll just wait for Jadekyle to post then move right along to Tatooine, unless anyone wants to do something else first 'cause once we're there we'll probably be there for awhile.

I was hoping I'd feel more up to posting tonight, but so far I'm still feeling drained. This 46 hour work week is really killing me, and on top of that I'm getting close to the end of a nine or ten day streak. We'll see how tomorrow and Sunday goes, but if nothing else I'll have a post up on my next day off (which is Monday).

Oh my god, I can't believe I spelled movie wrong... And I can't believe I noticed that inebriated as I am... Anyway, this post is to say I probably won't be posting right now since I'm very drunk and can't really see the keyboard right now, soo I guess I'll be posting tomorrow after I get a good night's sleep...

P.S. This post was particularly hard to type...

Holy crap, this hangover is even worse then the last one... When my headache goes away I'll come back and type up a post. In other news, I don't think I'll be hosting another drinking party at my place again, that balcony is just asking for trouble.
