"What?" screamed Hunter as he desperatly reached for the nearest harness.

"Sit her down and strap her in" he barked as he hurriedly fastened the restraint around himself.

Tholian threw the young Twilek into a chair and slapped a restraint on her, he just about managed to get himself secured as the ship excelerated to light speed.

As the ship started it's jump Hunter exclaimed "I've got a bad feeling about this!"

The ship emerged from Hyperspace far too near to atmosphere. As it materialised it was pulled into orbit, then into the atmosphere. Where they were Taine had no idea. The atmosphere was thick with cloud and very little could be seen.

Desperately he wrestled with the controls, in an attempt to bring his ship out of the dive, but it was futile.

He shouted to the back at the top of his voice, "BRACE FOR IMPACT WE'RE GOING TO CRASH!"

Czak Shi meanwhile was cackling quietly to herself, it had been so easy, these fools had no idea what they were dealing with. Soon they would all be enslaved and the Nightsisters would have a ship in which to flee Dathomir. She carefully removed some key components from a nearby panel. Rendering the ship easily repairable, but only if you had the missing components.

As Taine wrestled with the controls, trying to steady the ship his navicom flashed up where they were, he shuddered at the sight, it was not a place he knew - but he'd heared stories.

He called to the back again, "Impact in a couple of minutes! BY THE WAY, WE'RE ABOUT TO CRASH ON DATHOMIR!"

"Dathomir" Exclaimed Hunter over the noise. The ship was being shaken violently as the ground rushed to meet them. Tools rolled off the table and clattered to the ground. Items feel from over head compartments crashing open on the deck plating

"Sheesh what a day" grumbled Hunter, "Hunted by the imperials, shot at by bounty Hunters and now trapped on a doomed ship. I should've taken my chances on Corruscant!"

The ship juddered as it entered atmosphere, thick bellowing clouds filled the sky and the whole of the planet seemed to be engulfed in darkness, giant flying lizards could be seen flying in the distance as they dropped below the cloud.

The ship landed in a swamp, it careered forwards, spraying mud and water up into the sky, turned sideways and skidded into a muddy embankment.

Taine unclipped his belt and climbed to his feet. He felt battered and bruised as he shuffled back groggily to where the others were. The sight that met him stunned him, he looked at the Twi'Lek that had mysteriously appeared, "Who the hell is this?! Where did SHE come from!? Grrr, did she sabotage the ship!?"

As the ship hit the swamp the harness holding Hunter snapped and he careered across the room. Tools and equipment fell on him. As the noise began to settle he could hear the others moving around.

Then he heard Taine's voice.

With a suppreme effort he pushed a large piece of machinery up so he could be seen by the others. The others turnes as they heard the noise.

Hunter's head was throbbing and his suit's systems were warning him of an injury to his lower left leg and also a puncture would to his lower torso.

He manage to hold the weight up for a few moments as he looked at the others. Darkness was closing in on all sides as a trickle of blood ran down his head and across his eye.

"Taine you need to fix that restraint!" he managed to gasp sarcastically as the darkness finally won out and he passed out. The machinery and tools that he had been supporting again clattering to the ground around him and on top of him.

Taine offered a hand to Hunter and pulled him to his feet. The others were still unconscious, or so they appeared. Taine rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Hey we'd better get out there and check out the situation? Are you hurt badly?"

The ship was superficially damaged but something didn't make sense... Strange noises were echoing about the ship from outside.

Czak Shi had already left the ship and was trecking over the nearby hill, laughing softly to herself, "Those pitiful fools... Soon they' shall taste the wrath of the Nightsisters, and maybe my Rancor shall taste the flesh of them!"

Carefully she picked her way through the undergrowth, up the steep hillside avoiding the Quenker lairs and other dangerous creatures on the slopes. The ship had crashed precisely where she intended and it was only a short hike to the spider cave.

The bar was quietening down by this point. It was not too long before closing time, but the Bothan didn't appear to want any trouble. Bek silently took a glass and filled it, before handing it over.

Czak Shi had arrived at the spider cave and was now kneeling before the spider queen, and a council of Elders, "I have done as you asked and found a ship reverend mother. The occupants are in the swamp, at the foot of Mount Yifi, there seems to be at least two survivors - I observed them leaving their ship."

The spider queen grinned evily at her, "Good work Czak, we should allow them to explore the jungle a little before we capture them don't you think?"

The kneeling Czak Shi stood up and smiled, "Yes, lets le them meet some of the wildlife before we move in... But I WANT to capture them, the armoured one you can do with as you will, but Taine, the pilot - he's mine."

Taine was growing concerned, Hunter appeared to be not responding at all, whatever he tried. He picked him up and carried him back into the ship, "Sorry buddy, but one of us is going to have to try and find a way out of here!"

Carefully he laid him on the bench in the back of the frieghter. With that done he left the ship and closed the hatch. Thinking he could come back for him once he'd found a way off this hell hole.

Wearily he trudged through the water, blaster in hand. The sky was dark and foreboding, strange noises echoed out of the forsest.

Scanning the horizon he spotted a mountain peak nearby, deciding his best bet was to get a good vantage point he climbed through the thick undergrowth, avoiding any noises of creatures.

After an hours climbing and hiding he scrambled onto the mountain top. Brambles and thorns had torn his clothing, his trousers were sodden and muddy and his skin was scratched and itching. Out of breath he surveyed the landscape, dark forest as far as the eye could see, with occasional clearings for swamps or rocky outcrops... Deep ravines ran across the surface in the distance.

His attention was drawn to a large group of Rancors in the distance, their heads above the trees, their scaly arms clawing their way through decimating the forest.

A screech made him glance up, just in time to see a great flying lizard swooping towards him, it's claws out stretched. Panicking he dived and rolled under a large boulder, the creatured landed and began clawing under tying to grab him.

Taine thought to himself, 'Oh my god... What have I got myself into here!?'

Having found himself on this hellish planet, Taine waited until the creature gave up it's efforts and crawled from his hiding place. Surveying the landscape he spotted some twinking lights on a hillside in the distance. Hoping desperately for some civilisation he sest off in the direction of the lights, scrambling through the undergrowth.

Even more battered and torn, after several close encounters with the local wildlife Taine shuffled exhausted towards the twinkling lights. Soon he was near the edge of the clearing and could see strangely shaped huts, with fires lowing inside from the windows. A thick thorn hedge surrounded the area which looked like a village. Kneeling on the ground he peered about the village trying to spot some signs of life.

He groaned.

He knew he had to be alive, there was no way death could be this painful. Slowly he opened his eyes, the dim light burned his eyes. He immediatly closed his eyes again groaning once again. He rolled himself up on his side and opend his eyes, slowly. As the room went from a blurr he slowly started to look around.

The place was a mess, terminals smashed, furniture tossed all around. He struggled to remember what had happened but the thumping headache ruined any chance of that. Pulling himself up he propped himself up with his left arm and then sat up, groaning again as his body and head complained at the effort and the sudden change in position.

Slow he tapped a few things into the wrist panel on his left arm and studied the readout. Then he reached up and put a hand on each side of this helmet. With a single motion he lifted the helmet clear of his head. The helmet hissed as he broke the envirmental seal in his armour and again the searing light invaded his eyes. He groaned again.

Pulling his right hand glove off he lifted his hand to his head and checked the wound on his head. The bleeding had now stopped but it was still quite sensitive to touch. Slowly he pulled himself off his perch and started to dig through the rubble around him. A few moments later he found the medical kit and opened it on the bench. Pulling to pill's from the medi kit he swallowed them, grimacing as he did so.

He looked around the room at the destruction, and counted the bodies. He could see two but he could not see Taine, he founght the pain as he remembered Taine pulling him from the rubble after the crash. He reached down and pulled his glove back on and then re-attached his helmet.

As he exited the ship he looked around. The sky was almost obscured by the trees, the forest was that thick. Only the gaping scar caused by the ships uncontrolled landing had broken the carapace. The sky was dark, not a cloud to be seen. The moon was high but it cast no light.

He pulled up his rifle and checked the charge, flicked his helmet to low light vision mode and started off in the direction of the foot prints leading away from the ship.

Taine felt a vice like grip close on his neck, at the same time a cold steel blade was pressed into his throat.

"Ahhh, you must be Taine... Czak told us all about you... Don't struggle, I'll cut your throat if you do... My name is Lor Naga, Nightsister... Lie forwards, flat on your face..."

Taine shuddered at the cool calculated tone of her voice, as he was considering his move she slammed him forwards onto his face, soon his hands were bound tightly together.

His hands secured she knelt on his back and passed a thick metal collar around his neck, snapping the lock shut. It was tight fit and he was struggling to breath easily. As she attached a length of chain to the metal loop on the front of the collar she wrenched him to his feet.

"Now, pig, if you so much as speak without my permission - I'm going to remove your bowels? Do we understand each other?... Good... Now come this way!"

Stunned, and terrified Taine was led by the grey skinned woman around the thorn hedge and into the village. All around him garishly dressed women smirked at him, as he was dragged through the huts. It was at this point noticed other men, chained up, working or both...

As he neared the centre of the village Lor pushed him roughly into a hut with cage door and locked the door after him.

Striding away Lor called out, "Get a message to Czak Shi and the Matriarch - we have one of her visitors!"

Taine had been sitting in the hut, contemplating his situation for what seemed like an age. He could see through the bars, the goings on in the village, there seemed to be no men around apart from the slaves.

He sat wondering what was in store for him, eventually a familiar face appeared, smirking as it were - it was Czak Shi. She wandered up to the cage, "Well, well, what have we here? It is you Taine, thank you so much for bringing us a ship! We're making plans to leave already... I wonder what we'll do with you though? I did have you down as a breeder, but after your little outburst... No, I think we'll work you to near death, then feed you to the rancor's, that would be more fitting!"

"You've got my ship! Let me go!"

Czak Shi chuckled at this, "Taine, you are on Dathomir, you have no weapon and you can't use the force - you wouldn't last a day here without our protection. Anyway, take off your clothes - I have some slaves clothes for you."

She passed two rough hessian like garments through the bars on the cage. There were trousers and top, the trousers had a rough rope for a belt, the material was scratchy fibrous and harsh. Taine scowled at her, "I'm not wearing these!"

Czak Shi laughed, "You will Taine, you've just failed the first test! We're now going to administer you with a drug, a drug which will make you obey us without question."

She nodded to an unseen person hidden behind the hut and three grey skinned women appeared. The gate was open and they grabbed him, forcing him onto the floor on his back. Held firmly down by the others, Czak Shi sat on his chest, "Hold his head still for me."

The third woman moved around to his head and gripped it in a vice like grip. Czak Shi pulled a tiny vial from her clothes and uncorked it, with one hand she pinched Taines nose, "Open wide now!"

Taine fought desperately to hold his breath, to shake free, but eventually he couldn't hold out and his lips parted. As they did so she tips the foul black liquid into his mouth and held it shut, "Now SWALLOW! You're not breathing until you SWALLOW!"

Taine was going red I the face, the foul tasting ichor stinging his cheeks. She was holding his nose and mouth, he could feel himself slipping into unconsciousness - then he swallowed and she released her grip.

"Good, now put your new clothes on."

They released his hands and he obediently, almost in a dream took his flight jacket off and his comfortable trousers and boots and donned the hessian slave wear, the three women smirking at him as he did.

Czak Shi was smiling warmly at him, "Good, now I think we should feed you, get down next to those animals, get your head in that trough and start eating!"

Slowly he walked over to the trough, filled with rotting plants, meat and foul water and knelt on the floor. Then he dipped his head in and began eating the vile excuse for food. Inside he was screaming, but he had no control, tears began running down his cheeks and he lapped and chewed the revolting food.
