Seriously...2 years? You give us this, then tell us to wait 2 years? ARGH!!

It should also be noted that his website is down right now, probably too much traffic lol.

This most definately intrigues me. I remember playing the first Wing Commander game for days on end, and the subsequent sequels. I will be watching this one 'very' closely.

You give me something worth wanting, and I'll wait for it. :)

And... I don't care if it's two years... if that's what it takes to make this a truly kickass game... I'll wait!

My only regret is, despite my increased income, I cannot put anything toward his project. :(

Will my $60 game purchase count as a pledge? :D

Seriously, I very much want to pledge to this, but I'm going to have to wait. Car needs new tires, AC3 end of the month and the WiiU after that.

If there are still spots AFTER that, I'll put down for the 60 or 125 version, cuz that gunship lookins friggin sweet. This game looks to be the Star Wars game we all want, without the Star Wars branding.

Edit: I just looked again and I see that crowdfunding will end in 30 days...which means get your pledge in soon, or miss out.

That sucks, why would they do it for such a limited time? Also...a $10,000 pledge? Geeeeeez

Yes... I, too, have other obligations.

1) Assassin's Creed 3 (with luck, the limited edition... they stopped the preording the week before I could get to it :()
2) Assassin's Creed: Liberation PS Vita Bundle
3) See 1 and 2. :P (What? That's, like, upward of $350-$400 total, if I get lucky.)
4) Another reason to start investing in a new PC (Estimated cost, anywhere from $800-$1,000, depending on how I can play my cards, but now I have additional variables to research).

Needless to say... Sorry, Chris, no donation from me. Though I might throw a few bucks ($60, if I can) toward it. And not 'cause of the title, I was considering around there before I saw it. :P

As for the duration? Funding is a fickle thing. If they're asking for a certain amount, it's for a reason. They can't do this thing without the right funding, at the right time. So, they need it by a certain time. Personally, I wish it were the end of December, but oh well. If they put it on Kickstarter, it would have had the same time limit rule applied. They need it by the end of the month, likely in order to make it work. CR knows his stuff, and if he believes this is the window of opportunity or it's bust, then so be it.

It does indeed look epic... and if they can pull in all of the pledged money it's a huge win for them and possibly for other PC game devs who are having trouble finding funding...

sorry, as a spacebattler, I must point this out:

IT'S NOT A BATTLESHIP, IT'S A CARRIER!

and why doesn't it have escorting frigates?

that said, I'm planning on upgrading my system in the near future, and by the time this game comes out, i'll have upgraded it again...so I'm excited.

That said, if I can't play a capital ship captain, I'll be dissapointed...I want to eventually get a dreadie!!

From what I've seen it sounds like you will in fact be able to fly something similar to what they're showing in the Squadron 42 promos... I dunno if you'll be able to take it into combat but at least some of the stretch goals sounded like that's kinda what they were aiming for...

Kind of what they were aiming for? I'd say that is what they're aiming for. The 5,500,000 stretch goal says largest "playable" ship Bengal Carrier. I hope they'll have others but we'll see.
